Important Covid-19 update

Tuesday 24th March 2020 Cornavirus update

Following the latest government advice, We at the station house Nursery are having to take the decision to sadly close the nursery on Friday 27th March for two weeks, we aim to reopen on Tuesday 14th April
This is such a sad, difficult and daunting time for us all, however the need for safety and wellbeing for everyone linked to the station House Nursery and further is paramount.
The council have set up a hub for keyworkers children, if you need further advice or support please call this number 01698454102.
We have been providing our service for twelve years now and are lucky to be able to say we have had more or less the same staff team for this time. I am devastated to be interrupting this service and the impact its going to have on everyone. I am sure we are all in agreement we need to keep the nursery operational to ensure we have a nursery to return to, the families and staff are key to this happening.
I have exercised our right to the government job retention scheme for the staff which states the government will cover 80% of furloughed workers salary and the coronavirus business interruption loan scheme(CBILS)to bridge the gap if necessary, this is proving to be a slow and lengthy process. My worry with this is timescales, I am not sure how quickly this will kick in, when half the country is trying to access it at once.
My suggestion is, if you pay with vouchers or the government tax free childcare scheme and have already initiated payment for April please don’t worry, I will sort this with everyone individually.
If payments are made for April it will ensure we can retain staff and when the job retention fund comes through I will redistribute the funds to you accordingly.
It is as we all know too well, unprecedented times, in an ideal world if we can reopen in two weeks and the job retention scheme have paid out I will refund two weeks fees to those who have paid up front.
A HUGE thank you to my fantastic staff team who continue and will continue to put your children first. I am proud of their professionalism and dedication for always putting the children first and I know from recent feedback you are too.
Thank you all for your continued support and patience at this time and once this passes, we will be here to welcome you back.
Kind Regards

Lynne
