We would like to make you aware that a child that attends the nursery has been diagnosed with Chickenpox. Chickenpox is a mild & common childhood illness that most children catch at some point. As it is most contagious one to two days before any signs of a rash, it is difficult to prevent the virus from being brought into the nursery.
If your child does contract the virus, they cannot attend the nursery until all of the spots have crusted over .
We would also like to make you aware that pregnant women could be at higher risk if they contract the virus, and should speak to their doctor as a precaution.
