Nursery Insights
Our playrooms are set up as follows:
Platform 1
This room is for babies 6 weeks to two years old and we follow the “together we can and we will” document for guidance and learning, this is South Lanarkshire councils adaptation of the pre-birth to three national documents for early years. The staff to child ratio in this room is 1:3
Platform 2
This room is for children aged between two and three years, Together we can and we will underpin our practice in this room also and the staff to child ratio is 1;5
Platform 3
This room is our anti-preschool and preschool room for children aged three to five, we follow Curriculum for Excellence in this room, the experience and outcomes for early years is designed to build foundations for future learning, primary school and beyond.
In addition to this
We have a French teacher who attends one day a week, A cook who prepares all meals and students who are working toward childcare practitioner qualifications.
